Hello, My name is Ester. I absolutley adore Jesus! He is the center of my life. I am nothing without him. He has allowed a dream of mine to come true. I've always wanted a little boutique. I've been praying for the right time, the time is now! I am the mother of 3. I love my children, they keep life so exciting. I homeschool and I have one in traditional school. I love to craft, it could be a full time job. I love it that much. I like sewing, baking, bow- making, and all things family! I am married to my highschool sweetheart, you can read about that on my other blog. www.loveinmyhouse.blogspot.com.

Showing my Children Jesus

Recently I've been praying about my children.  I want to make sure that I am giving them a firm foundation in the Lord.  I want to make sure that I equip them with God's word.  I want to make sure that I am showing them Jesus!! Today I planned to go to our local christian bookstore after church.  I wanted to look for a family devotional.  (I'll get back to that)  Today we visited a church for the first time.  The kids loved it, when I picked them up from class both the teachers commented on how well my children knew The Word.  The 4th grader's teacher really wanted my secret, I don't have one. She couldn't believe how well my daughter knew the topic.  Ok, God knows just what we need.  I needed the confirmation that I am on the right track.  Of course there is room for improvement.  I have to make sure that our time in The Word is not lost in distractions of the day.  I must resolve to continue to discipline and encourage with the Word.  I must show them that God is the foundation of our lives and that without him I am nothing.  I want my children to see me living out my salvation in everything I do.  I will miss the mark, I will need mercy and grace, I will be at his feet crying out.  They will see Him pick me up, Him extend mercy and grace and Him wiping the tears.
I have included links to resources that I use or plan to use with my children ages 5,9 and 11.

It is the last Friday of the year. I am SO not ready for this break to be over.  I can't believe that we've been off for two weeks.  It feels like yesterday.  I spent today catching up on crafts that I've been wanting to do for a while.  I finished the neck tie shirt that I wanted to try and an applique pillow case top for my love bug!!!  I have a long way to go in the sewing department but I am so glad I finally took the leap and started using my machine.

Trying to get my little guy still to take a picture is like pull teeth out of a sharks mouth!!

The pictures aren't that great because my camera is never ready when I need it!!

Ok, there's that!!

On the last days of the year I spend time reflecting on my year.  I really try to think about all of the choices I've made and areas that I need to improve.  But on today's reflections I became overhelmed by the goodness of God in my life.  He loves me and I am so unworthy of his love.  I can truly look back and see the answers to things I've prayed for.  I made a big decision to move back to my hometown and God sustained my family during the trasition.  There were so many things that could have made me doubt God but my faith kept me at his feet.  I learned so much about Lordship and my salvation.  I am so thankful beyond words that he continues to reveal himself to me.  What did I do to deserve such a gracious gift, NOTHING!!! He loves me the same way he loves all his children.
Stay tune for more reflections from this year.

For Unto Us a Child was Born

Today is Christ-mas! I can't believe the day has finally come.  I am really, really sad that all the decorations will be going away.  I love seeing all the lights.  I tell my children that the city is getting ready for the BIGGEST birthday party of the year.  Christmas day is the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior!!  Each year I re-tell the story of the birth of Jesus.  This story will NEVER get old.

This was our first Christmas in Memphis in 5 years.  Today I missed Nashville a LOT.  However, I was happy to be able to spend time with my family.  We had dinner at my sister's house.  I was late because I was a little sad.  I was sad that the traditions that I started with my family was gone.  I had to put my big girl pants on and get over myself.  This day is not about me but about Jesus.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Sieze the Clay

Today I to hang out with the sweetest ladies.  We had a mom's night out.  We went to paint pottery.  I painted a plate that says, "Hey Y'all"!!! I am a southern lady. I can't wait to post pictures of my creation.

Tomorrow is my Holiday Open House and my daughter will be wearing the outfit I made for her.  It feels great to see my daughter proud of my creation.  I thank God for creativity and craftiness.

Well, I've been at it again!! I made my very first pillow case dress today.  It was so easy.  I think after a few more I will be able to make them look just like the ones I like on pintrest.  I am so happy that I'm finally doing some of the things I want to do.  I was so happy about my creation.  Don't look at the rest of her outfit, I told her to throw it over her clothes!!!
